Bourjasotte Grise, Socorro Black, and Violet Sepor are wonderful sweet figs with a syrup like pulp. Many people describe them as "One of the Best Figs". Many people believe all three many be the same fig trees, if not very similar. I am currently growing Socorro Black and Bourjasotte Grise both taste great. I can't tell the difference. Many people call them early, but they will not ripen their entire crop for me with out an indoor start. I often bring them inside to ripen more figs under lights in the late Fall. Hopefully when they are older they produce even earlier. Socorro Black comes from a very large tree found in Socorro, New Mexico. Bourjasotte Grise Burjasot, is named for a village in Spain, near Valencia.
